Rt. 20 East-Water Main Replacement and MassDOT Reconstruction Project

  • The project consists of water, sewer and drainage improvements including roadway reconstruction, traffic signal upgrades and sidewalk replacement/installation
  • Project Limits: Peters Avenue to Sudbury Town Line
  • Project Completion: Fall 2026
  • Contractor: Ludlow Construction
  • Major traffic delays to be expected

Downtown Area Streetscape Improvements

  • The project consists of sewer and drainage improvements, portions of sidewalk to be replaced, new wheelchair ramps, enhanced pedestrian accommodations in front and behind of City Hall, street lighting improvements, traffic signal upgrades and roadway resurfacing
  • Project Limits: Main Street, Court Street, Weed Street (Court Street to Newton Street), Newton Street (Main Street to Granger Boulevard), Florence Street (Main Street to Granger Boulevard)
  • Project Start Date: Spring 2023
  • Project Completion: Spring 2025

Hudson Street Landfill

  • The project consists of corrective actions including waste excavation/consolidation and construction of a new cap and community open space on southwest portion of the site
  • Project Completion: Spring 2025
  • Contractor: David G. Roach & Sons, Inc.
  • Minor traffic delays at the Bolton Street/Hudson Street intersection due to large volume hauling

Rehabilitation of Broadmeadow Sewer Pump Station

  • The project consists of replacing the existing sewer pump station
  • Project Start Date: Summer 2024
  • Project Completion: Spring 2025
  • Contractor: Baltazar Contractors, Inc.
  • No traffic impacts

Eversource Gas Main Relay at Various Locations

  • The project consists of installing new gas mains and services
  • Project Limits: Newton Street (Granger Boulevard to Adams Street), Adams Street, Fairmount Street and Onamog Street
  • Project Start Date: Spring 2024
  • Project Completion: Summer 2024
  • Contractor: Devereaux and Feeney Brothers

Reconstruction of the Marlborough Police Department Parking Lot

  • The project consists of drainage improvements, pavement reclamation, removal and setting of concrete curbing, paving, line painting and final restoration
  • Project Limits: Staff and cruiser section
  • Project Start Date: Summer 2024
  • Project Completion: Fall 2024
  • Contractor: AF Amorello & Sons, Inc.

Sewer Rehabilitation at Various Locations

  • The project consists of 235 vertical feet of cementitious manhole rehabilitation and installing 3,050 FT of cured-in-place pipe liner within 6” and 8” clay sewer mains
  • Project Limits: Chandler Street, Lincoln Street (Highland Street to East Main Street), Winthrop Street, Ellis Avenue
  • Project Start Date: Summer 2024
  • Project Completion: Spring 2025
  • Contractor: Insituform Technologies, LLC

Marlborough Dog Park

  • The project consists of installing erosion controls, tree protection, clearing, grubbing, chipping, stump removal and grading of .87 acres of City land. This work also includes spreading of wood chips throughout the site, installing 5’ black vinyl coated chain link fence around the perimeter including gates and separation for small/large dogs
  • Project Limits: Wooded area south of Ghiloni Park
  • Project Start Date: Summer 2024
  • Project Completion: Fall 2024
