Board of Health

What We Do

The Board of Health provides a broad scope of public health services to the community while enforcing the State Sanitary and Environmental Codes. These services include policy development, issuance of permits and licenses, ongoing inspections and surveillance, and reporting of infectious and communicable diseases. Also, the Board of Health provides information, referrals, and mutual aid to surrounding communities. The Marlborough Board of Health also provides guidance to the local Medical Reserve Corps, a growing group of volunteers committed to serving the community's needs in the event of a Public Health emergency.
