MetroWest Medical Reserve Corps

We have officially received our long-awaited Federal Recognition as the MetroWest MRC Unit. As you may know, representatives from our old 4A unit have been meeting with state and regional support for over 18 months in hopes of improving the efficiency of our volunteers and town participants.   Our new unit consists of the following towns: Hudson, Marlborough, Natick, Southborough, Sudbury, Waltham, Wayland, and Weston.

If your current MRC membership has expired (members from Marlborough currently in good standing have automatically been transferred to the MetroWest MRC Unit) or you would like to join the MetroWest MRC unit, please register and create a profile with MA Responds.  Here is the website: www.maresponds.org

Moving forward, all calls for MRC volunteers will come through the MA Responds system. If help is needed in any of the 8 towns that are part of our Unit, all qualifying volunteers will be contacted by email for non-urgent requests, and in the case of a more urgent request, phone and text messages may be sent as well. As in the past, volunteers always have the option to decline a request for deployment.

If you have any questions regarding membership or the process please contact Paul Martin, MetroWest MRC Unit Coordinator at  metrowestmrc@amoroc.com or at 781-530-4437.

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to teaming up with you!
