The Marlborough Police Department will be hosting its first annual Youth Police Academy for the Summer of 2019. The dates of the Academy are scheduled for the week of June 24th through June 28th. Depending on levels of community interest, a second week will be added August 5th through 9th. The Youth Academy will run daily from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. The Youth Academy is free of charge and a t-shirt and hat will be provided. Student will bring their own lunch for the week.
The Youth Academy will be accepting applications for students going into the 7th Grade in the Fall of 2019. Applications will be accepted starting April 3rd and are available by visiting the Marlborough Police Department webpage or by clicking on the following link: Youth Academy Application . You may also pick up an application at the Marlborough Middle School Main Office or at the Front Lobby of the Marlborough Police Station. Preference will be given to Marlborough residents.
Topics covered will include Criminal Law and Procedure, Motor Vehicle Law, CPR/First Responder, Public Speaking, Team Building, Drug Recognition, SWAT, Firearm Simulator and K9 Demonstration. Students will also participate in Physical Training (PT) each morning.
There are a limited number of seats available for the Academy, so students are encouraged to sign up early. We are looking forward to making our first ever Youth Police Academy a great success!
