Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license issued in the state of Massachusetts and be a resident of Massachusetts. A valid class-A firearms permit is a requirement for the position. The police department is seeking applicants that are currently working in a full-time capacity and certified by the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee. We are seeking applicants with the highest integrity and possess superior written and oral communication skills. An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice or closely related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Reserve officers will not be considered at this time.
The Marlborough Police Department is a non-civil service police agency located in southern Middlesex County. The department provides police services to a population of nearly 40,000 residents. The Marlborough Police Department has achieved full accreditation status through the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission and we anticipate several openings in the near future.
