Parking Clerk

The Parking Clerk is responsible for hearing and issuing a decision on all appeals of parking tickets issued in the City of Marlborough.

How to File an Appeal

You have the option of requesting an appeal decision by mail if accompanied by a detailed reason for your appeal, or you can request a hearing, in person, before the Parking Clerk. All hearing appeal requests must be received within 21 calendar days of the date of the ticket. Requests made after 21 calendar days of issuance will not be accepted.

An appeal request will not be considered unless the Parking Ticket Appeal Form is complete.

Completed appeal forms can be mailed or dropped off at the City Collectors Office located at City Hall, 140 Main Street. They will then be forwarded to the parking clerk for review and scheduling. Please include your parking ticket with the appeal form.

If you have requested a hearing my mail, you will be notified of the decision by mail. If you have requested a hearing in person, you will be contacted with the date and time of your hearing.

As the Parking Clerk Office is open part-time, phone calls and emails are checked on a weekly, not daily, basis.
