Student Reading Challenge
The move to our new library may have gotten in the way of our regular annual Summer Reading Program, but we've still got you covered! This year, we're offering a year-long Reading Challenge for kids and teens, running from June 2023-May 2024! To participate, simply register for the MSLA Reading Challenge in our Beanstack portal, then meet simple monthly reading requirements such as "read a book set in a country you would like to visit," and "read an award-winning book." Each month you participate, you'll be eligible to win a raffle prize! Participate every month and earn a chance to win an awesome grand prize! Here are the basics of how the program works:
(1) Sign up for Beanstack:
Register here or download the Beanstack Tracker app on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
If you have previously registered on Beanstack then you do not need to register again, but you do need to log in to your account and select this year's program.
(2) Log the book that you have read for the month's challenge.
A child may be read to or read on their own. Log the author and title of the book that fulfills the challenge requirements. You'll earn a virtual badge and raffle ticket.
(3) Enter Virtual Raffle Tickets for Prizes:
Whenever a child earns a virtual raffle ticket, he or she can enter them into ticket drawings. We will have drawings for a variety of prizes, such as a Word on the Street giftcard, Amazon giftcard and more!
