Fine Free Wednesdays are back!
One of the suggestions we received many times in our recent survey was to bring back Fine Free Wednesdays. We are pleased to announce that effective immediately Wednesdays are Fine Free at the Marlborough Public Library! Any late items returned on Wednesdays will not generate fines.
“Many people asked us to bring back fine free Wednesdays. We are glad to be able to do that, especially in these difficult economic times. We want to do everything we can to encourage people to use our library” said Susan Laufer, Marlborough Trustee Chair.
Some items won’t be affected by fine free Wednesdays, such as late museum passes and some items borrowed from libraries outside of the CW MARS library network that Marlborough belongs to. The library will also assess a fee for lost or damaged items.

350th Anniversary Commemorative Book
In honor of the 350th Anniversary of the founding of Marlborough, the Marlborough Public Library's Board of Trustees has published its collection of watercolor paintings of Marlborough's historic homes. The book, Old Homesteads of Marlborough, is available for purchase at the front desk of the library and throughout the city at 350th celebrations. Costing $15, all proceeds of the book will benefit the Marlborough Public Library Foundation.
