What we Do
The Public Health Division plays a key role in promoting and protecting the health of our community by providing healthcare services and implementing public health programs at the local level. Our duties and responsibilities include:
Health Education & Promotion
This division actively educates the public on community health issues such as disease prevention, vaccinations, and mental health. We design and deliver educational campaigns to raise awareness about current and emerging public health concerns.
Disease Prevention & Control
Public Health Nurses are in charge of monitoring and responding to outbreaks of infectious diseases, including conducting contact tracing, providing immunizations, and advising on infection control measures.
Advocacy & Policy Development
This division works to influence public health policies that improve overall community health. This can include advocating for environmental health regulations, act as a healthcare resource for all residents, and community outreach.
