Student Sustainability Essays

What is sustainability and why is it important for our students to think about sustainability issues in our environment? These are two questions the seventh-grade Whitcomb Middle School students on Team 7A looked into as they learned about global warming and the rising interest in alternative energies. To do so, they conducted research using EBSCOhost, organized their information with source notes, and wrote a persuasive essay. Finally, the students evaluated each other's drafts anonymously, using a specific rubric.
