The AHA Heartsaver AED Course teaches adult/child/infant CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), along with relief of choking in adults, children and infants. Also the use of barrier devices for all ages. Students must pass a skills test in order to qualify for a course completion card.
For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace or the general lay person. This is NOT the correct course for Healthcare Providers.
