Learn a Language

LogoMango Languages

Want to learn a new language or improve your English? Mango Languages is an easy to use online language learning program. Mango uses real-life situations and practical conversations to teach a new language.  With 62 foreign languages for English speakers and 17 ESL courses for non-English speakers, there is plenty to choose from!

You will need two things to get started:

  1. An internet-connected computer or device with audio capability;
  2. A valid library card.

You 'll need a Mango account and a library card to get started. Follow this link and click on “Sign Me Up” to get started. Or feel free to stop by the library for a pamphlet and ask a Reference Librarian for help getting started.

Bring a photo ID and proof of current address to register for a free library card. With a library card, you can use Mango, and borrow ESL materials to practice your English at home. We also have a growing collection of Spanish and Portuguese books and movies.

English Conversation Circles:

Marlborough Public Library also offers free English Conversation Circles for adults. No testing or registration — just come! All participants are encouraged to speak and practice English. We’ll talk about current events, your interests, food, restaurants and what’s happening in Marlborough

Contact Miriam Achenbach, Reference & Outreach Librarian, at (508) 624-6992 or by email with further questions about language resources.
