Winter Parking Ban Begins December 1, 2018

The City's overnight parking ban goes into effect on December 1, 2018 and will continue through March 15, 2019. During that period, on-street parking is prohibited from 11:00pm to 6:00am every night.  Vehicles violating the ban are subject to issuance of a parking ticket. Additionally, vehicles that interfere with snow or ice removal operations are subject to towing and storage at the owner's expense.

EXCEPTIONS.

Pursuant to the authority granted to Chief Giorgi by the City Code and the Rules and Regulations of the Traffic Commission, the following exceptions to the overnight parking ban, subject to the conditions indicated below, are granted.

A. EXCEPTIONS GRANTED FOR:

1.  High Street;

2.  Brown Street;

3.  Brook Street;

4.  Emmett Street (from South Street westerly to dead end).

5.  Ringold Street

B. CONDITIONS: The granted exceptions shall not apply:

1.  When a snow or ice storm has been predicted;

2.  When a snow or ice storm is actually occurring;

3.  During post-storm plowing or clearing operations by the DPW.
