School Committee Vacancy - Applications Requested

Mayor Arthur Vigeant has set Monday, February 25, 2019 at 7 pm, as the date of the Joint Meeting of the City Council and School Committee for the purposes of filling the vacancy on the School Committee created by the resignation of Mark Walter on January 11, 2019. The Joint Convention will take place in the City Council Chambers in Marlborough City Hall.

Since Mr. Walter’s term was scheduled to expire this year, the seat will be on the ballot for the November 2019 municipal election for a full four-year term. The appointment to fill this vacancy is made at a Joint Convention of the members of the City Council and the members of the School Committee, which includes the Mayor as School Committee Chairman.
