MARLBOROUGH – Today, Mayor Arthur Vigeant announced that Marlborough City Hall would be open to the public daily with hours of operation from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.  This began earlier this week with a trial opening.

For the safety of the public and City employees, additional protective measures have been taken, such as plexiglass barriers in public facing offices, distance reminder placards, hand sanitization stations, sign in sheets in each office, and the implementation of one-use pens. Additionally, visitors must wear a face covering and sanitize their hands when they enter the building. There are informative signs posted at the entrances indicating this policy. The basement and first-floor restrooms will be available for the public use and sanitized regularly.

The Health Department, DPW, Housing, Community Development, Senior Center, and Veteran’s Office, Police Department, and Fire Department will remain closed but available by appointment for residential services. In-person early voting for the State Primary will be held from August 22-28 at the Marlborough Senior Center. If you have questions regarding early voting, please contact the Office of the City Clerk at 508-460-3775.

It is asked that the public limit their visits to City Hall and continue to use the City of Marlborough’s remote capabilities to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. A full list of City of Marlborough Departments can be located at https://www.marlborough-ma.gov/departments. Additionally, the drop boxes in front of and behind City Hall will remain in place 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and checked frequently.

The City of Marlborough continues to work with our community, state, and federal partners to stay informed and update residents when new information becomes available. COVID-19 information is also available on the city’s website.

If you begin to feel symptoms like a fever over 100 degrees, cough, or shortness of breath, please contact your primary care physician. If you have any questions, please contact the Marlborough Board of Health at 508-460-3751 or the Office of Mayor Arthur Vigeant at 508-460-3770.
