Mission
The Street Division of the Department of Public Works is tasked with providing the traveling public with a safe and efficient transportation system throughout the entire city's infrastructure of roadways.
During winter snow operations, the Street Division keeps roadways, or parts thereof, sufficiently clear of ice and snow to be reasonably safe for public travel within 24 hours of initiating a snow plowing operation.
- Am I responsible for clearing the sidewalk adjacent to my property?

Yes.
- The City plowed my residential street, leaving a rather large windrow. Will the City be picking this snow up?

No, the windrows on residential streets will not be hauled away.
- Will the City open the access to our property?

No, it is the resident’s responsibility to clear access to their property.
