The Water and Sewer Division of the City of Marlborough Department of Public Works provides safe, reliable drinking water and wastewater collection and treatment services in a cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner, in full compliance with all applicable EPA and MassDEP regulations.
Billing Office
The Water and Sewer Billing Office is responsible for the accurate billing and administration of water and sewer accounts for approximately 11,000 customers served by the City’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Water usage is determined through field-read meters or, when necessary, departmental estimates. Bills are issued bimonthly to commercial and industrial customers and quarterly to all other users, with approximately 48,000 water and sewer invoices issued annually. The Billing Office also processes customer billing inquiries and property ownership changes, issues final bills associated with property conveyances, and establishes and maintains new customer accounts.
