PRESENT: “THE 2011 FRIENDS ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW”
ENTRY INFORMATION
DATE: Monday, February 7, 2011 through Sunday, February 13, 2011
PLACE: Bigelow Auditorium, Marlborough Public Library, 35 West Main St., Marlborough, MA
WORKS: Each photographer may submit two photographs in black and white or color.
ELIGIBLE: To be accepted all photos MUST BE FRAMED AND/OR MATTED AND EQUIPPED WITH WIRE SUITABLE FOR DISPLAY HANGING. Each photo MUST HAVE A LABEL AFFIXED to the back showing the title, name of artist, address, phone number and purchase price if for sale. When
registering, if possible, please use a “return address label” in Registration book, on Entry Form and also on the back of your painting for easy identification and readability.
The Friends will receive 15% of the purchase price if sold.
ENTRY FEE: The Entry Fee is $7.00 for one or two submissions. FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
Please make out check to: The Friends of the Marlborough Public Library.
Entry Fees/Entry Forms may be dropped off when the photos are delivered or
mailed to: Friends Photography Show, 35 West Main St., Marlborough, MA 01752
DROP-OFF Photographs may be delivered to the Library’s Bigelow Auditorium Thursday, February 3rd
SCHEDULE: from 4:00 – 8:00 PM or Friday, February 4th from 2:00 – 4:30 PM. Please Note: “The Friends” and The Assabet Valley Camera Club cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss to any entry works.
JUDGING: Judging will be accomplished Saturday morning, February 5th by a Panel of Judges
selected by the Assabet Valley Camera Club.
HANGING: Hanging will take place on Saturday afternoon, February 5th.
RECEPTION: A Reception and Open House will be held on Monday evening, February 7th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Library’s Bigelow Auditorium with refreshments served. Award presentations
will be at 7 PM in the Gallery. No admission charge to the Reception and Open House.
AWARDS: Awards will be presented for First, Second and Third Prizes plus three Honorable Mentions and Popular Vote Awards (chosen by Visitors to the Gallery) in both color and black & white.
PICKUP: All photos must be picked-up on Monday., February 14th --12 noon to 8 PM.
Identification must be presented to pickup photos.
GALLERY HOURS: Tues.-Wed.-Thurs.- 12 – 8 PM, Mon.-Fri.-Sat. 12 – 5 PM and Sun. 1 – 5 PM
