Innholder License

Process Length: Approximately four to six weeks.
Fee: $125 hearing and advertising fee; $18.15 for the first four rooms and $18.15 for each additional room
Process:
Step 1:
The applicant must obtain and complete the Innholder License application and the Licensed Premises Inspection Approval form. The applicant is required to submit plans on 8.5"x11" paper, designating street and number, the layout of each floor, and all emergency exits of the premises to be licensed.
Step 2:
The applicant submits the Licensed Premises Inspection Approval form to the Inspectional Services Department (ISD) for zoning approval.
Step 3:
The applicant must submit all forms and plans to the License Commission. If the applicant is a corporation, a copy of the Articles of Organization and/or a copy of the Business Certificate or DBA (obtainable through the clerk's office) must be included in the submission.
The applicant will pay a $125 hearing & newspaper advertising fee. The License Commission will schedule a hearing on the second or fourth Tuesday of the month. The applicant must notify all abutters (a list can be obtained from the Assessor's Office) by sending a copy of the newspaper ad within three days of submitted publication, but at least ten days before hearing by certified mail, return receipt requested. Certified mail receipts must be submitted to the License Commission.
Step 4:
If approved by the License Commission, the applicant must submit the Licensed Premises Inspection Approval form to ISD for approval from their building and health inspectors. If the applicant has a current Certificate of Occupancy, this sign-off is not required.
Step 5:
The Fire Department will automatically inspect the site based on the License Commission hearing agenda.
Step 6:
The License Commission will issue the Innholder license to the applicant upon receipt of license fees and ISD's inspection approval.
