To access the databases and online resources listed below, simply click on the title.  To access some databases, Marlborough residents will need a valid library card. Most of the resources listed can be accessed from the convenience of your own home.  Follow the Connect from Home link and enter your library card number when prompted.  On Marlborough Public Library computers, simply click on the title of the database to gain access.

With millions of articles available in both PDF and HTML full-text with no restrictions, researchers are able to find accurate information quickly. Includes full-text coverage of the New York Times back to 1995. Updated daily.
  • Provides expansive and in-depth information on the people, events, and topics important to the study of African-American history.
  • Spans more than 500 years of political, military, social, and cultural history, highlighting the important people and events of the American experience.

  • This database integrates award-winning biographies from respected Gale sources with related full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, as well as tens of thousands of images and links to vetted websites.   • Contemporary Literary Criticism--Select is an extensive collection of more than 11,000 critical essays on contemporary authors. Each CLC--Select entry contains a biographical/critical introduction, a list of principal works, critical essays, and sources for further study.
