This course welcomes beginners to the practice of Yoga and is suitable for those with an ongoing practice.

The class will begin with a brief centering to focus on the breath for the practice. A gentle warm up of the entire body will follow next we move into yoga postures (asanas) which will focus on alignment, breathing, and technique. Participants will build endurance, flexibility, and strength in the body as well as calm the mind. Both energizing and relaxing at the same time. Modifications will be offered for those new to Yoga practice.
Participants are asked to bring a Yoga mat.
Instructor Ellen Elsasser is certified by the American Council on Exercise and Fitness resources. She has worked as a personal trainer, group exercise and Yoga instructor and Fitness director for over 15 years.
