City of Marlborough, MA - Lease of Municipal Real Property

The City of Marlborough, Massachusetts acting through its City Council as the Awarding Authority, invites sealed proposals, at the request of the School Committee, from educational organizations for the lease of the Bigelow School building no longer needed for public school purposes, containing approximately 30,000 square feet, located at 57 Orchard Street in Marlborough, MA as shown on Assessors’ Map 81, Parcel 190A. Proposal documents are available as of May 7, 2008 and sealed proposals will be received by the Chief Procurement Officer at City Hall, Procurement Office, 140 Main Street, 4th Floor, Marlborough, MA 01752 until 11:30 A.M. on May 22, 2008 at which time all proposals will be opened. The lease term will be for one-year beginning July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, with four one-year options to renew. These renewal options are exercisable solely at the City’s discretion. School Committee has set a minimum lease proposal of 6,500 square feet with minimum price proposal of $10.00 per square foot. Proposal documents will be sent via Fedex for $25 or use of the proposer’s Fedex account number, by e-mail upon request to bsleeper@marlborough-ma.gov, by telephone at 508-460-3707or by fax to 508-460-3698. The City of Marlborough may cancel the RFP or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the City.
