Wastewater Treatment Plant Lease for Communication Facility

Pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 30B, Section 16, the City of Marlborough through its City Council seeks sealed proposals to lease a portion of city property for the construction of a monopole or similar at the Westerly Wastewater Treatment Plant site located at 303 Boundary Street in Marlborough, MA for wireless communications facilities in accordance with the City’s Zoning Ordinance. The proposal packages are available at the Procurement Office, City Hall, 4th Floor, 140 Main Street, Marlborough, MA 01752, by phone to 508-460-3707 or by email
request to bsleeper@marlborough-ma.gov and proposals will be accepted at the Procurement Office until April 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., when all proposals will be publicly opened. A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Public Facilities Office, c/o Hildreth School, 85 Sawin Street, Marlborough, MA. A tour of the site will follow. Proposal packages will be delivered via FedEx Overnight for $25.00 (or the use of the vendor's FedEx account number). Proposals must be clearly identified in lower left-hand corner as Proposal: WESTERLY WTP. Questions concerning the Requests for Proposals must be submitted in writing to: Beverly J. Sleeper c/o
Procurement Office as noted above. Questions may be delivered, mailed, emailed, or faxed to 508-460-3698. The City of Marlborough reserves the right to cancel this Request for Proposals, or reject in whole or in part any or all proposals, to waive any informalities and to accept the proposal(s) deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
