Welcome to the City of Marlborough GIS Page!
What is GIS?
A GIS (Geographic Information System) is a computer system capable of assembling, storing, manipulating, and displaying geographically referenced information, i.e. data identified according to their locations. Simply put, a GIS combines layers of information about a place to give you a better understanding of that place. The layers of information you combine depends on your purpose. Some common examples would include: finding the best location for a new store, analyzing environmental damage, viewing similar crimes in a city to detect a pattern, and so on.

The GIS Program is pleased to announce the public release of our online public information mapping application, PIMA. Use the link above to access the new application. The release of our PIMA tool is directed towards residents by providing them with user intuitive tools to find a property, access the City Assessor’s information, and view additional information like voting wards and zoning information. PIMA is built to be fast and visually rich in its interactive environment so we hope you enjoy using this tool. Please feel free to contact the GIS Program if you have any questions or comments on PIMA.
