REPORTS OF COMMITTEES:

19.     ORDERED:  That the City Council Public Safety Committee consult with Police Chief Leonard and City Solicitor Agoritsas to determine the merits of adopting an ordinance to regulate motorized scooters in the City of Marlborough…….
        submitted by Councilor Towle.
20.     ORDERED:  That the City Council Public Services Committee investigate with Asst. DPW Commissioner Crouse the merits and feasibility of establishing a Rummage Hut or suitable location where residents could bring used, miscellaneous articles they no longer want for eventual pick up  by other residents.  This program has successfully been established in other communities including the Town of Southborough's facility at their  transfer station……submitted by Councilors Pope and Vigeant.

From Finance Committee:

21.     Order No. 04-100341 - re: transfer $4596 to Rec Dpt P/T help (for boat launch).
        Recommendation of Committee to Deny (4-0).
22.     Order No. 02-9735 - re: Municipal Aggregation of Electricity.  Recommendation
        of Committee to approve following Resolution (4-0):RESOLVED:
        The City Council of the City of Marlborough, upon request of the Colonial Power Group, Inc., hereby finds that it may be in the interest of the electric customers, both residential and commercial, to enter into an aggregation agreement.
        The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has deregulated the electric utility industry and it behooves the electric ratepayers of Marlborough to investigate the benefits of aggregation.
        Therefore, the City Council hereby approves and authorizes the Mayor to authorize the Colonial Power Group, Inc. to issue Requests for Proposals and to report back to the Mayor and City Council with a recommendation for implementation of plans and/or alternatives to aggregation.

        Reeves to Board of Library Trustees.  Recommendation of Committee to approve    2-0.
25.     Order No. 04-100355 - re: appointment of Richard Towle Jr., to Commission on
Disabilities to fill current City Council vacancy.  Recommendation of Committee to approve 2-0 (Yurkus and Clancy).

From Public Services Committee:

26.     Order No. 04-100358 - re: establishment of a Storm Water Management Advisory
Committee and appointments to said Committee.  Recommendation of Committee to approve 2-0.  (Public Services to update City Council).
