You can file an appeal by mail OR request a hearing before the Parking Clerk (by appointment only.) To do either you must have an Appeal Form.
Phone Calls: If you have a question, you may call the Parking Clerk message center at (508) 460-3607. Please
realize the Parking Clerk Office is a part-time assignment and phone calls are checked on a weekly, not daily, basis.
Any appeal must be made within 21 days of the date of the ticket. Questions on tickets appealed later than 21 days after its date must be directed to the Deputy Collector at (508) 473-9660

An appeal will not be considered unless the form is complete.

Appeals by mail:
Mail completed appeal forms and the original parking ticket to the address above. You will be notified of a decision within 10 business days.
If you requested a hearing in person, you will be notified of the date of the hearing within 10 business days. Hearings are held monthly on Monday at 5:00 p.m., Council Committee Room, Main Lobby, City Hall, 140 Main St., Marlborough, MA 01752. Hearings are NOT held during the day.
Old Parking Tickets:
If you have been notified by the Registry of Motor Vehicles that a fine for a Parking Ticket from the City of Marlborough has been posted at its office and that you cannot register your vehicle or renew your license, you must resolve those issues with the Deputy Collector at (508) 473-9660. You cannot appeal these tickets.
