click here to print and view the map (it takes a minute to download)

Note  a section of the trail is being selectively logged to improve forest health. These trails are closed during times of logging (approx. March to August 2006)

Welcome to Ghiloni Nature Trail/ State Park!!
The Nature Trail portion of this parcel was designed to be used along with an interpretive brochure, which is available at the Recreation Office located at the entrance to the park and also at the conservation office at city hall. This brochure outlines the natural history of the area and has information on a number of stations marked out on its map.

The State Forest portion of this parcel is predominantly coniferous stands of white and red pines.  This area also contains steep slopes draining into beautiful wetlands and vernal pools.  This parcel plays an important role in Marlborough’s natural landscape by acting as a wildlife corridor along Broadmeadow brook.  There are several other protected open space parcels in this section of the city and the state forest serves as a link to over 100 acres of open space, which is important for wildlife movement from one place to another.
