INFORMATION FOR ALL REAL ESTATE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY ABATEMENT APPLICANTS
AS STATED ON THE ABATEMENT APPLICATION, YOU MUST PROVIDE
INFORMATION AND EVIDENCE SUPPORTING YOUR CLAIM OF
OVERVALUATION OR DISPROPORTIONATE ASSESSMENT WHEN
REQUESTED BY THE ASSESSORS. Marlborough Board of Assessors require it be attached to your application.
If this information and supporting documentation is not provided, your application will be denied!
MASS GENERAL LAW REQUIRES THAT THE TAXPAYER PROVE THE ASSESSMENT IS WRONG.
THOSE APPLICATIONS THAT ARE SENT IN WITH THE REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL BE ACTED UPON WITHIN THE TIME PRESCRIBED BY LAW.
THE SUPPLEMENT TO THE ABATEMENT APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE IN THE ASSESSORS’ OFFICE AND CAN BE FOUND ON LINE.
