The Department of Public Works encourages all residents to conserve our precious water supply. In an attempt to promote water conservation, a limited number of low flow household retrofit kits are being made available at no charge to Marlborough residents, while supplies last. Because of the limited numbers, we must restrict distribution to one kit per household. Kits are available at the Department of Public Works from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Billing/Payroll Office.
The DPW has also received low flow hoze nozzles and rain gauges to monitor and reduce outdoor water usage. The Department has 100 of the gauges and nozzles in stock and will distribute them while supplies last. As part of the grant,10 % of the recipients will be polled to determine the level of satisfaction of the products and assess the level of water conservation.
Kits (excluding the hose nozzles and rain gauges) are also available free of charge from the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority by printing out a request form, available at the following link,
and FAXing, or mailing the completed form to Elaine Donohue at the MWRA at
FAX # (617 )788-4888.
