MEASURE AND LIST UPDATE

TO ALL MARLBOROUGH HOMEOWNERS AND TENANTS
We have completed the measure and list project for fiscal year 2007 assessments. This included all of our commercial/industrial properties, exempt properties and a few more single family residences.
The resulting data corrections will be reflected in the FISCAL 2007 Assessments.
Starting this month, the program will continue with initial emphasis on homes in the north central part of the City. (MAPS 7, 8, 19, 20, 32, 33)
The inspections once again will be made by the city Assessors as well as employees of VISION APPRAISAL TECHNOLOGIES.
Assessors will have their City Identification badges and Vision employees will have their company IDs as well as a letter from the Board of Assessors for identification.
We encourage owners to allow access to their properties as we have made corrections that benefit the tax payer during this process.
Inspectors will make two attempts to measure and list the properties without prior announcement by knocking on the door. If access is not gained in one of those attempts, a letter will be mailed to the owner requesting an appointment be made at their convenience. If no access is allowed, assumptions will have to be made based on similar homes.
