ANYONE WHO OWNS A MULTI-FAMILY PROPERTY FROM THREE (3) TO TWENTY (20) UNITS MUST OBTAIN A “CERTIFICATE OF LEGAL USE” PRIOR TO THE SALE OF SUCH DWELLINGS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY COUNCIL ORDER # 06100-1088B (approved July 24, 2006).
Certificates have been mailed to each property owner and are also on file in the Office of Inspectional Services (second floor City Hall). If you do not have one available during the sale process you will not be able to obtain a fire alarm inspection for your closing.
